In2Cricket Players Meeting their Heroes!

The challenge was sent out to all in2Cricket centres; create the best 30 second video explaining why their club was into cricket, then upload it onto Facebook and the most liked video would win the prize.

It all sounded simple, so the movie was made featuring 6 Subi-Marist in2Cricket players pleading for a visit from their heroes “’cos they’re into cricket” and they wanted a real coach rather than the inept bloke featured in the video. A big thanks to the King, Sculthorpe and Robinson families for acting in and directing this quality production.

Once uploaded, the likes flowed steadily and the prize was secured, a resounding victory for the club against all comers across the state.
The day came for the players to go to the WACA two days before the Test v South Africa and the players waiting for them were Mitch Johnson, Josh Hazelwood and no less than Ricky Ponting, on what turned out to be the day before he announced his retirement. The children were treated to a warm welcome from the players who answered all of their questions, signed autographs, posed in photo’s, gave tips and even danced Gangnam Style with them…………great sports all round and every child left having had an amazing experience.

Just maybe Ricky Ponting saw that the future of Aussie cricket was in safe hands with Subi-Marist and it was safe for him to hang up his boots.
